Evers said National Guard troops from Arizona, Michigan and Alabama were operating under the control of those states and Wisconsin, “not in a federal status.” National Guards answer to governors and sometimes state legislatures, not Washington.
The restoration of order was primarily in the hands of National Guard units and local law enforcement.
Trump had no control of the National Guard or local law enforcement, and was NOT IN the decision making loop.

So for him to claim credit is just a bald face lie. Order was restored by the Dem Gov and Mayor... which totally flies in the face of the Alt Right lying message.
