Just saying, the regular polls have been correct in the past as well and got 2016 wrong.
Anybody that thinks a sample base of "one" is proof of performance in the future will probably be disappointed. Just saying

The polls just make absolutely no sense. There is no enthusiasm for Biden. Sure he's getting a lot of support from elderly that don't go to events, but enthusiasm for Trump is historic.

Trump has more support from black voters than any other Republican in recent history.

While true you are still only talking about 10%-15% of the black vote in total. Also black votes are projected to be down 5% this year. The youth vote (college aged) is also expected to be down big time as colleges are closed.

I give them credit for trying to address issues that many other polls don't account for. And they could be right, and they could be wrong.
But just because they were right once is no guarantee that they will be right again.
Last time, Trump ran against Hillary... a candidate many democrats and independents hated, and somebody moderate Republicans couldn't vote for.
This time, it's Biden... and while many democrats aren't thrilled with him, the independents don't hate him, and the moderate republicans can vote for him.
So while I can go along with "hidden Trump voters", I just don't see the level of hate out there (besides from hard core Trump supporters) that Hillary had.

He is also getting a lot of support from groups that went for Trump last time... so yes, the polls do make sense. And while you try to compare the number of people showing up for rallies as your proof... that's just garbage. Trump is promoting his super spreader events, and in many cases even violating local laws to host them. Biden is going for big super spreader events.
And while there might not be the same level of enthusiasm for him personally... There is a TON OF ANTI TRUMP enthusiasm.

He has 46% approval with black voters according to Rasmussen, and he is particularly popular with younger black voters. Is that a trend for the future?

It is true that Biden seems to mostly get meet with indifference while Hillary was very widely disliked. Everyone seems to be motivated primarily by either pro-Trump or anti-Trump feelings. Biden is just an empty vessel.

I wouldn't call him an empty vessel. But he was the true compromise candidate. While Bernie had the enthusiasm that Biden doesn't have, it was only from the left wing of the party.
And contrary to some people's ranting, all Democrats aren't left wing socialists. Yes, some are, but as can seen from the primaries, the Democratic party does not want to go down that path.
He is not the puppet of the radical left either. Anybody with half a brain can see that he doesn't support many of their "ideas", contrary to what Trump would have his loyal followers believe.

Is Biden exciting... no. But is he what the party needed... YES. Because you are right, this election is simply Pro or Anti Trump. And they needed a solid candidate that could be supported by all the different parts of the party. Nobody has to love him, but they don't hate him like they did Hillary. Their goal was to win this election. And while Bernie had the excitement and could probably have energized the youth more, there was no way he could really win over the independents or get some of the Republicans who are disgusted with Trump.

We shall see what happens and see if the Democrats did the right thing.
