I remember downloading the first episode of High Potential thinking I probably wouldn't like it. To my surprise, I found it very entertaining and am looking forward to the second season

Watched season 1 of "Wednesday", which is an absolute riot.
Then did a bit of "Barbarians" which is a Kraut show about Germanic tribes vs. Romans, Teutoburg Forest etc. Good production value, but not on par with "Rome". IMO an uneven mix of great/pretty good here and boring/cliché stuff there.
Overall I found Netflix movies/shows have a tendency to go into unneeded lengths often, but maybe that's just me. Those things I absolutely enjoyed did not have it fortunately.
But some of the mid-range stuff seems to have too much filler stuff, where the cam just lingers on seemingly for ages, after the point of whatever scene has already been made abundantly clear.

It only took me 20 years to watch The Sopranos but I just started the last season.

Watching 3rd season of ST Strange New Worlds now, and somehow, it feels like a step back compared to the prev. season, which was obvsly the best Star Trek evah (until you count in Lower Decks and/or DS9).
Didn't complete the season yet sooo...

Book this if you want to see that. And book that if you want to see this. And of course, book this if you want to see season X of show A, but book that for season Y of the same.
Plus book extra ad-free and/or full hd/4k/whatnot

I'm not following what you are talking about. When I want to watch a show, I open the app service, select the show I want to see and then watch it. I can't empathise with your rant.

Fragmentation in the streaming market is worse than the deep state...seriously.
Howevah, most services only have a few things I really like, so they (THEY!) force me to jump back and forth frequently. I'm sure the evil streaming Mafia is using AI to track my prefs, then disperses everything across a gazillion different platforms. This is totally true and I'm not paranoid
