I've started to binge Ted Lasso, about 5 episodes in. Weird concept, but pretty good so far.

I really enjoyed Alien: Romulus and plan on watching it again soon with my brother, who hasn't seen it yet. I'm really looking forward to seeing the film again, I wish I could have snagged one of those VHS copies before they sold out.

Watched Greyhound starring Tom Hanks as Destroyer captain in WW2 fighting off subs in the Atlanctic.

Not much of a story other than couple of days intense fighting, but it's made very well.

Except some exaggeration for dramatic purpose (like German subs contacting Allied convoy escorts via radio to make evil "you'll all die" sorta comments, which probably never happened) it worked very well as tense depiction of the Battle in the Altantic.

That is after I managed to switch those silly audio descriptions off on Apple+, in which a monotone (AI?) voice tells you what you see when there's no dialogue

Watched a bit more on Apple+

Ridley Scott's "Napoleon" (weak, disappointing IMO)

Started "Lady in the Lake" (and stopped after Ep 2 - labeled thriller, but so far it's been mostly social drama, which is fine if you want to watch social drama, but I'm not in the mood for it these days)

Tried a bit of "Foundation" (never read the book/series, but while it looks great, it's IMO not nearly as captivating as for example Expanse)

Finally went with "Silo" (postapocalyptic scifi/mystery/whatnot, which I really like a lot)

Ended my apple adventure after a month.

Not so much stuff there which interests me.

Everyone is praising "Severance", but I simply have no patience for it these day. Still liked "Silo" in Season 2. "Masters of the Air" is good, albeit a tad conventional if not to say old fashioned, but probably due to the topic. If you liked Band of Brothers it's similar, just with planes. Nah, but overall I still like BoB more.

Silo is good although they completely emmited the "frozen" years people of authority would spend in hybernation
maybe that would be difficult to portray in a tv movie series

Started Reacher, Season 3.

Personally I found S2 was a clear step back compared to the first one. At least with the intro episode of S3 things are feeling better again, huzzah.

Rumour has it they are making a new Starship Troopers movie. But there's much speculation if it will come close to the Verhoeven thing or ditch any satire for being just another military scifi flick. In short we don't know yet

However, it's made by the District 9 guy. So maybe the Arachnoids are winning this time

I'm finally watching Ted Lasso, even though I'm not generally a huge Jason Sudeikis fan. Goofy premise, but fantastic writing, cast, and acting.
Should finish Season 3 this weekend. Highly recommended.

Watched finally D&D: Honour Amongst Thieves, which was not the greatest fantasy film evah, but fun. Certainly way more than the GoT spinoff tv show.

Also read C.Nolan plans a movie about Homer's Odyssey. Question is, will it come out like his Dark Knight trilogy, like Oppenheimer, or like Tenet. IOW rather an epic blockbuster, or a good, but heavy/lengthy biopic or just annoying?

Completed the final S5 of Lower Decks. Had done the earlier seasons ages ago.

Initially I had been sceptic about it, but it has grown on me. Loved it in the end. "Though we may come from different worlds...and, man, do I miss Hawaii"
