Rah, I don't think you understand or appreciate the wonder, brilliance, and complexity of Kidicious' brain. KIDICIOUS' BRAIN, Rah. The mind of Kidicious is on levels that I can only hope to strive to achieve.
I might make a thrade about this.
He's just a Kidiot which he proved many times. He did take you seriously.

I once saw a brain section of someone who had died of mad cow (Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease). It looked like Swiss cheese. This is how I imagine Kid's brain looks.

Had this issue come up at one of the places I worked. Two people got significant bonuses (me and one other person), at the behest of the owner. Bonuses were done on his initiative, I had not requested one but he felt that since two of us were in his eyes 'contributing substantially more', that we should get rewarded.
Female coworker was greatly upset about it and complained about the bonuses being unfair. I did not decline the bonus (as it was a generous offer and I felt that declining the deal, would be an insult to the owner's generosity). Female employee insisted that it was all or nothing. Either everyone got bonus or nobody did. We eventually got the full bonuses for the amount that he originally specified and the coworker was kept on. Business ended up folding not to long after when the owner retired. This is why the boss wanted to make sure that the two of us were properly compensated. Female coworker was friends with the person buying up the remaining assets and successfully transferred over to the other business. She ended up leaving pretty soon after though, and the company is not near what it was.

It has money in it. If it's only 10 bucks you probably don't even try to findi it's owner.
At what dollar amount (if any) do you decide that you will attempt to find the owner? And how long would you try before you just gave up and kept the money.
Or would you just turn it over to the police and let them figure it out.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Well, here in germany we have spcific laws for this:
If someone finds something worth more thn 10€, he is required to tr o find the owner on his own, or give the item to the police or an Unclaimed Property Office.
If the owner is found within 6 months, the finder is entitled to a certain finders reward (5% of the items worth/contents if <= 500 €, 25€ + 3% of items worth if worth > 500€)
In the contrary case (i.e. no owner if found wwithin 6 months) the finder can claim the item as his own.
This actually encourages me, personally, to play by the rules (unless it is, say, a 5 or 10 € note lying on the street), and actually give the wallet to t police or an Unclaimed Property Office (and leave my address so I can demand my reward if no owner is found ... or claim the wallet as my own after half a year)

I mentioned this one because I found a wallet on the train and it had about 150 bucks in it. Which is really secondary to all the other IDs in it. I was going to hand it to the conductor to take it to the railway lost and found but the conductor mentioned that the guys at the stations sometimes picked through things so I contacted the guy myself and returned it. But if there hadn't been solid ID I doubt I would have made the effort.

No obvious ID? Depends on where I found it. At school, turn it into the security guy there. Wouldn't matter what the dollar value of it was, as they are pretty good about getting things back to people. If it were outside? I would keep it, up to about 100 dollars. Over 100, some guy's probably really interested in finding it, so I'd turn it into the police and they'd have a fairly reasonable chance of getting it back to the person.
Obvious ID is easy. If there's a phone number, call the number. If the address is not far, return it myself. If it's a ways away I'd mail it in an envelope. Over 100 dollars? Return it to the police.

Interesting.
A few years ago I lost my wallet in the Munich U-Bahn.
It took almost a year before the police contacted me back and a few months before I could travel back to Munich to get it back.
I got my wallet back with all the money inside more than a year after the loss. I don't remember the police telling me who found it, so I could not really thank the person.
Do you know if the german police has the info of who found the wallet. Do they have to, or are they allowed to give the info ?
The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its own shame. Oscar Wilde.
Well, I guess it is totally voluntary for the finder to give out his/her personal information and only then mandatory, if the finder wannts to lay claim on a finders reward if/when the owner is found.
Considering that you, as owner of the wallet, never got contacted by the finder ... or got his/her contact data by the police, I assume that s/he didn't leave his/her address

2 out of 3 times my wallet went missing, it was returned to me... once with money, once minus about $20. I've found 2 wallets, and returned them both as I found them.

If I found it on at work (on campus), I would turn it in to campus security. If I found a wallet randomly on the street, there are good odds I would just pass it by. If for some reason my curiosity were piqued and I decided to look through the wallet, there's a very decent chance (especially if no ID is present) that I would just put it back where I found it and carry on. No chance I would take the money, regardless of the amount.
