May has won a minority, but will probably get booted from the leadership.
    UKIP lost their one seat.

So the UK held an election that nobody wanted to reconfirm the result of a refendum that nobody wanted and now nobody can execute said result anymore because the ones that won the referendum lost the election ?

It is a minority government, dude. New goverment forming with Tories and DUP. As the Sein Finn seat holders will refuse to take the oath of loyalty to the crown only 321 seats will be needed. The coalition will have the votes.

There is no real point to UKIP now, now is there? I expect their votes made their way back to the Tories. The SNP also did worse than expected as their votes seem to have backed labor instead.

Perhaps she should have learned something from the Brexit referendum debacle of her predecessor ...
for example how futile it is, to believe that you can predict the voting behavior of british voters
and how foolish, to base your (polittical) future on these prediictions

First the EU wanted a clear victory so it could negotiate with someone having a strong mandate none of this happened and britain is very divided. (btw there are some great cartoons but I have to search and I'm bored now)

Second, politicians are very self centered beasts. Having such a fragile "victory" and in order to satisfy her wigs or whatervertheyarecalled she could go away without a deal which would buy her the loyalty of the parliment but would of course have the side effect of it being totally catastrophic for her country

And now she has weakened her position even more ...
would have been better for her to not hold the premature election at all

That would also be difficult because you basically had an unelected leader at the helm of that country.
After cameron shooshed away like a whiped doggy, she basically got a "ring of succession". No elections, nothing.

It wouldn't be fair or democratically sound to have that country go to such an importnant (some would say life defining) negotiation without even having elected the leader that would do such negotiation. It was actually a catch 22, like the whole of its course is, right up to now, and will probably get a lot worse

what would also be amuzing will be that virtually anyone who has a beef with england, will get the knives out.

Spain can ask for gibraltar or she won't sign the deal.

cyprus can ask for a complete removal of british bases from its soil (or negotiate for their stay with a superior hand)

etc etc etc etc ad nauseum.

Since a deal requires unanimity in the EU, it's open season on england

This is true. She ran a really bad campaign. That said, she will likely stay in charge though DUP will want to soften the terms. May has an easy out though as Junckers will not soften his stance now so she can always say she gave it the old college try but the arrogant EU was veing unreasonable.

It would appear that DUP with which may will form a coalition believes in us being sprayed from airplanes, in grey aliens, is insanely retarded and xenophobic and makes Tump look like a refined french intellectual

Short summary of brexit negotiations until now :

Brexitter: We won't accept the negotiation schedule EU demands.
                              EU negotiator :
Brexitter rolls over and accept EU schedule

Brexitter: Ok, we take all the EU citizens in UK as "hostages"
                              EU negotiator :
Brexitter rolls over and back off silently

Brexitter: We don't want to abide to EU bureaucracy
EU negotiator: Ok, you don't want to sell stuff to us, fine.
Brexitter: Oh, wait a minute while I write EU trade regulations into british law

Brexitter: No way are we going to pay a penny.
                              EU negotiator :
Brexitter rolls over and agrees to pay at least 60 B€ - maybe 86 B€

Guess that a number of pro-brexit woters are a bit confused and might to change their mind - though it seems a bit difficult after the "divorce request" has been submitted.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
