  • By the way, personal email doncha say? Plenty of government officials use(d) personal emails, including Colin Powell.

Do us a favor... If non points are all you have, try harder.

Still no way of verifying the authenticity as wikileaks doesn't really have the best credibility right now.

This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

      • all the emails posted can of course be verified here.

WikiLeaks series on deals involving Hillary Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta. Mr Podesta is a long-term associate of the Clintons and was President Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff from 1998 until 2001. Mr Podesta also owns the Podesta Group with his brother Tony, a major lobbying firm and is the Chair of the Center for American Progress (CAP), a Washington DC-based think tank.

        • Nonpoints and not very interesting. Giving me wikileaks website doesn't verify anything. You have to try harder.

There is nothing juicy there or even remotely interesting/relevant. How about we discuss how Trump used charity money for legal bills? Highly illegal.

          • If trump wasn't such a turd, these might have done some damage. But it just show the cleverness of her campaign. They sat on a lot of the older Trump harassment charges to throw them out in the final month to help divert any attention from these. Have to tip my hat, it was quite successful.

the historical analysis is solid enough. it reflects a worldwide trend that i've talked about on here before: the mainstream left surrendered the economic argument, while the mainstream right surrendered on the social front, leaving a centre-left and centre-right that agree on everything of substance, the differences being confined to nuance.

the conclusion, after a very good article, while defensible from a certain point of view, i.e. that trump is the kind of demagogue who thrives in such conditions, was so incomplete as to be bizarre. it's hard to believe that after a whole article about how financial and corporate power came to dominate, the author did not conclude that they would come to dictate the world of politics and make leaders little more than placemen (placepeople?) for big business. hillary clinton of course is the personification of such a trend. the extremely half-hearted attempt to suggest that hillary is somehow an heir to populist democrats, though, suggests that the author may agree with my view more than he cares to admit.

yes, that's true. although i suppose the obama revelations may shed some light on why the FBI was so chary of prosecuting her. implicating a sitting president is a big deal.

                • I think Bill is more of that then Hillary is. Hillary is probably a similar level to Obama.

But I would prefer a progressive-left, a center-left, a center-right and a radical-right to the current setup. Then I can have the choice of not voting for the center-left without being responsible for the radical-right taking power.

Except it doesn't shed light on anything and prior officials used personal emails, including Colin Powell. Try harder.

when obama makes $40,000,000 from corporate speeches, and funnels goodness knows how much through a dodgy foundation, then i might agree. two sayings spring to mind: 'if someone got rich, you've got to ask: what are they selling?', and 'if you can't see the product, then you ARE the product'.

but yeah, as i said much earlier on in the thread (or perhaps in another), if people are given rotten choices, they'll choose someone rotten.

                      • I was disgusted by Bill in 2000. I didn't vote for Gore because of his involvement with Bill.

We really need more than 2 options.

Politics as usual, particularly politics that cares about injustice and social welfare, is much better than Trump or even Bush 2.

You can argue about how it compares to Romney, I am suspicious it is still better.

A dodgy foundation that donates 88% of its proceeds to actual charity? You want a dodgy foundation. Look up the Trump foundation.

Cockney. You have nothing. Upset Trumps numbers are sagging?

The Trump foundation had money taken from it to pay for legal bills. discuss that please.
