I did not see his post so I couldn't say. I would say that it is correct that black people, especially young black males, have much higher crime rates than young white males. That is just a statistical fact. That said a report I read said it corrolated very strongly with poverty, 70% plus, so much of that is that young black males tend to be poorer. That still left 20%-30% of the difference unexplained and the author theorized black gangster culture and the idea of face explained most of that.

So mostly due to poverty with a minority of it due to black culture. There is a tie in that especially among young black males education is often seen as trying to be white so culture could possibly explain most of the problems young black males experience.

Sadly, it is easier to blame cops instead of people opting out of education and not applying themselves for cultural reasons. One provides an instant scape goat while the other takes personal effort and choices over the long term.

Hmmm. I thought if was racist just because he was saying people should be afraid of black people more than white people. It doesn't seem that BK meant what you were saying, although he should have cleared it up.

Anyhoo, I see little point in arguing. People have their minds made up here. Discourse is only possible when either side is free to defend their case to the fullest extent.
