How is this a Christian thing? Is it up to her who lives in this town too? she's just a clerk - and sounds like a bit over paid too.

Lets think about that. Office job, every government holiday off, no college education at all, basically has this job because of her mom and makes 80k a year. How/why would you want to f* that up.

And seeing how this is a Christian thread (I guess)... what does being born again mean? would it remove my credit history? does it wipe out your facebook history? what about medical? do you still have that nasty cancer issue after being born again.

this lady is the same lady she was 4 years ago or whenever this born thing happen - perhaps just a bit more crazy.

It is hypocrisy. She was taking the law into her own hands stating it is with God's authority. Separation of religion and state was created for just this reason. If she could not do her job as expected, due to her conscience, she should have resigned. Didn't Jesus tell an angry mob, he without sin should cast the first stone at an adulterous woman? Not one did. He stated they were all basically hypocrites and that is NOT the way to deal with such matters. If this clerk truly felt she could not rubber stamp a LGBT marriage, then she should have resigned. She did not since she obviously feared that her God's words 'to not fear' are meaningless and would not provide her uneducated butt with another cushy $80,000 year job with all of those holidays, ect. Yes, she is a hypocrite.

It is hypocrisy! This woman obviously does not believe as much as she says. She is cherry picking. If she wholeheartedly could not in good conscience do her job due to her belief, she should have resigned and 'fear not' as her God also tells her. Her problem was that what she feared more than hell, was that she would never be able to find such a cushy job as she had already. She is a hypocrite. Jesus called it out time and time, they are hypocrites. Nitpicking her own self-serving beliefs from the pages and blindly not reading about how she is not to judge what is right for another for only God sits in judgment! She now can mull it over in prison, I have a feeling, she is going to render unto Caesar what is the law and praise God for his blessings and understanding very soon.
