You can start with Wendell Scott. Well you have to basically, as he was the only black driver in the sport until he retired in 73. He actually won a Sprint Cup race back in 63, and is still the only black driver to do so. There were then no black drivers until 86. Darrell Wallace, Jr won a truck race in 2013 and was the first black driver since Wendell Scott to win a race in any of the three top series.

Like I said, NASCAR are making genuine efforts to try and correct the problem these days through their Drive for Diversity program, but the history of the sport is not a pretty picture.
