Imran, I was blaming Martin Luther for Sola Scriptura in general. He started the ball rolling. I don't imagine he'd be totally happy with the endless fragmentation of the Church that resulted.

Sola Scriptura is far more nuanced that some today believe. If you blame him for starting the ball rolling, there are tons of folks that can be blamed for things taking on forms they never intended .

Though some were undoubtedly good - for example, I can read Scripture in English due to the Reformers, which is something that the Church wasn't all that for, though I don't blame Aquinas (or whoever) for that .
