In my neck of the woods when a cop says to do something people do it because they don't want trouble. Anyone who doesn't do what a cop says right away is probably a serious criminal. That's probably why cops don't ask nicely. They want to see how you respond. What you aren't taking into account is that police have a job to apprehend people exactly like Brown.
Guilty until proven innocent (or goaded into doing something that breaks the law)
If a cop tells me to get out of the middle of the road, i get out of the middle of the road. But when I was young (growing up in the vanilla villages) cops treated us with respect and actually protected us so we learned to respect them.
That's not the case in other places. If they don't treat ALL people with respect, they're not going to get it back.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

There's a difference between calling a cop a pig and trying to get the man's gun, yes?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
Yes, but if you have respect for them neither would happen, Yes?

If you had just committed a violent crime just before meeting the cop as Brown did, would respect for law enforcement be a concern for you?

Yes, it wouldn't be a concern, but I postulate that if you had said respect you might not have just committed a violent crime.

When you approach somebody on the street, if you're still in your vehicle, you're supposed to not roll your window all the way down so whoever it is you're speaking to can punch inside the vehicle as Wilson purports... yet this is supposedly what happened, right?
And I see, Kid, that you're going ahead and profiling Brown yourself if police are to apprehend people exactly like Brown...
So... it's not human nature to get all defensive and confront your verbal attacker? Police aren't supposed to start on the attack, they're supposed to start on the information gathering and then on the defensive. As the justice department themselves have indicated, this was not a department that was professional to residents... meaning Wilson was likely already in the wrong when he approached Brown.
I'm not conceited, conceit is a fault and I have no faults...
Civ and WoW are my crack... just one... more... turn...

You used to walk in the middle of the road, purposely blocking traffic? Did you also attack police officers? The stories of your youth are interesting.
