    BULL ****!
I speak generally. In general. Not exceptions which are quite uncommon.

I'm not arguing that CEO's aren't over paid. But that wasn't your original point. You original point was that there were only three scummy ways to get ahead.
and to that, I call BS. Stop insulting all the hard workers that have gotten ahead through their ideas and work.
Three very common ways. I am not saying it happens 100% of time. I think probably about 90%. I am just not buying that bootstraps capitalist Reaganomics crap.

Companies make more money by having great ideas and new products... and those come from the people working there.
    Like Walmart lol?

Yet again... pulling a BK by trying to change the argument. I'm calling BS on your 3 points, not CEO's making millions.
    Bull****.

My three points stand firm and so does my new point about CEOs. My point about CEOs is valid because wages have been stagnant. If tons of people get promotions, why have wages been stagnant? Because what I say is true.

Again, BS... In the last ad agency I was in, the CEO fired his wife. (Now that must have made things interesting at home)
Again I am not interested in exceptions.

Many small businesses are family businesses... and they can be very successful.
Small businesses have been driven out of business in record numbers by big businesses. They simply don't survive. Look at failure rates. Restaurants are an extreme example with extremely high failure rates. Second generation businesses also suffer major failures.

SO AGAIN, address your 3 points of BS, and don't try to change the argument and rant about CEO's.
The three points were strongly factual and so was my secondary point about CEOs.

Strongly factual? Gee, you provided no facts... just your opinion. How can you say "strongly factual"?
Please find some facts that support your 90% fall under your 3 rules.
Let's see your cite... Come on, find something beyond your opinion.
Let's see you actually provide some facts to support your "strongly factual" comment.

      • Companies which do not reward hard work and talent do not stay in business very long generally speaking. Giancarlo is raging at shadows once again.

We must be Gods? Or maybe starting a business can be done...

Most businesses fail. That is a fact.

While you may want to focus on the poorly educated and low paid store workers that perform low level jobs, you are forgetting about the people who actually run Walmart and have built them into a powerhouse retailer. The company has succeeded because of very talented people who worked hard. They came up with revolutionary ideas in logistics, buying, marketing and business planning.

Yeah... many companies do employ ton's of minimum wage workers who work hard. Is that a crime?
Where else are people with limited educations going to get jobs. If you want to support a cause for a higher minimum wage, fine...

Do you expect people who have high school educations to be able to run large corporations?
People with talent and education do not make up the bulk of Walmart store workers...

And there have been many success stories in companies like Walmart where people with minimal educations have been able to climb the corporate ladder by working hard, continuing their education and showing the talent they have.

So go ahead and laugh at Walmart... They won't mind.

And you are forgetting that most people in the US aren't people who own businesses, are no longer middle class and are struggling to get by. Such inconvenient facts.

Walmart is a **** company with a **** culture and all they have done is drive many small businesses into bankruptcy. Now you are cherishing them?

Your argument is based on pure emotion and not actual reason. Excuse me for not being a capitalist drumbeater and excuse me for seeing what is so sorely wrong with the system.

Companies like Walmart are part of the problem and either need to be broken up through regulatory action or nationalized.

Corporations like Walmart don't give a **** about people or even small businesses, you guys have been gushing about for several pages.

                      So where are your facts?

Funny as you seem more like Ben with no facts of your own.

And this profoundly silly advice of the following:

                        1) Go work harder, you don't work hard enough (sounds like 19th century cotton plantation talk)

                        2) Go open a business... anybody can do it (like everybody was handed the capital to even do that!)

                        3) You must be stuck in some low level job.. Go work harder!!! (Yeah right)

                        Silliness.

Say someone opens a restaurant, do you even realize how much capital is required to do that? Tell me who has access to $1.5 million dollars? Because most of us don't!

And retail... Good luck with that. If it isn't Walmart that will destroy you, it will be amazon. Well you could always get an amazon customer service job... If you live in Mumbai.

What other business comes to mind? Dildo shop? Nope. Amazon has that one covered too.

                          Business is like acting.

Maybe you will be one of the few successful ones. What do you tell those who failed?

At least with acting you won't end up a $1.5 million dollar court ordered judgment because you can't pay creditors anymore. Then have a warrant issued because you chose not to go to the debtor examination.

2/3rds of businesses fail in the first year. I would have better odds stripping in front of a camera. I didn't have a rich daddy like Mr Oompa Loopma tangerine hair. I suppose I could go to bankruptcy court and screw over shareholders multiple times.

Maybe a top end restaurant in a big city. But according to most of the Restaurant trade sites, the average is closer to $500K
And many low end restaurants go for far less.

I never said any of that...
That was to early bird dinner and the other super successful businessman.

That what banks and venture capitalists are for... considering how many restaurants are opening all the time, somebody must be able to do it.
How many businesses fail in the first year? Two thirds? How many restaurants? Even more. Bad odds. Then those creditors will pick away at you like vultures. You won't be able to even apply for a credit card.

So there are only two retailers left in the country... I guess all those stores out there are figments of your imagination.

There are millions of businesses out there not named Walmart and Amazon.
And most of those have capital to drive small businesses out of business. Small businesses suffer disturbingly high failure rates.
