                  The interest on its debt its net negative meaning people are willing to pay the US for the privilage of loaning it money. They lose money on every dollar lent yet they still bid to see who will get the t-bill. That is a great situation to be in. Net negative borrowing costs.

                  You borrow $1 today but have to pay back something less than $1 30 years from now. That is ****ing awesome.

                                On the contrary, it means a huge amount. It means just by paying basic debt service the total amount of debt, in real terms, shrinks every year all on its own without actually having to pay down any principle. That is huge. That means the money fairy is liberally sprinkling the country with free cash.
