It's evident that there are industries on Tatooine dedicated to maintaining the environment. What do you think moisture vaporators are for, anyway?

These industries would have to be huge taking up at least 25% of the planet, probably much more if they have to somehow compensate for the lack of an ocean.

What are moisture vaporators? Do they evaporate water to put it into the atmosphere? Where's that water coming from?

Even if they did have an industry that successfully created a livable atmosphere, it would clearly create additional biomes do to the increased presence of water. Life in our deserts is heavily supported by the non-desert areas everywhere else on our planet.

The explanation I've always liked is that midichlorians are basically just attracted to Force-sensitive people. They don't cause the Force, but if you want to measure the Force in a person, seeing how many midichlorians they've managed to accumulate is a good way.

I mean, that's basically how we diagnose diseases nowadays. We're usually not looking for the disease itself but for disease biomarkers. Biomarkers are just a consequence of a disease, not the cause.

Let's just assume this ass-pull is completely accurate. We see a very tiny fraction of Tatooine overall. Who knows what exists outside of the hives of scum and villainy?

This is actually greatly contradicted by the canon, but not if you just assume Qui-Gon and Sidious were blatantly lying to Anakin. (FROM A CERTAIN POINT OF VIEW.)
