Extremely high benefit for extremely low cost. They're actually some of the most cost effective safety devices in existence.

The problem is all the low hanging fruit like that was mandated 50 years ago so now regulators are trying to justify their existence with ever less effective, less needed, and more expensive things. Some people already ignore their review so now they will ignore the camera. A proximity sensor with alarm would be better and cheaper.

Aren't you a democrat? Not that I mind but that sounds like a Wall Street Journal op-ed.

While there are Democrats which just mindlessly parrot the left's talking points (MrFun?), it isn't the usual; unlike for Republicans.

For example, I have voted for Republican presidents ( and congressmen) previously and if it wasn't for the fact that the Republicans have gone bat**** insane in the last 6 years I would probably consider doing so again in 2016.

( I really don't want another Clinton and I usually vote pragmatically. Due to the latter and due to the last 6 years of Republicans (as well as the crimes of the Bush administration); I don't forsee myself voting Republican in the future.)

I think you probably haven't met tons of Republicans if you think they all parrot the right's talking points. For starters, myself: I disagree quite strongly with the GOP on a number of issues, most notably immigration.

But, if Oerdin is always wrong.. what does that mean for lefties?

I am but that doesn't mean you have to support everything. The protesters have the right of it. It is time for the 3rd worlders who don't want to intgrate, or don't want to get a job, or who commit crimes to go back to where they came from. Welfare should be their for citizens or those authorized by treaty not 3rd world welfare tourists. Further more any company found hiring illegals should be fined so heavily they are nearly bankrupted and on the second offense all the officers and board of directors should be jailed. Third offense? Forfeiture of all assets, shareholders wiped out and personally responsible for any and all company debts, business nationalized and continued to run by the government until it can be sold or taken public.

Only in your fevered dreams, cupcake. I've always judged things issue by issue and that particular issue makes me angry. WRT immigration we should have free movement of labor among 1st world countries and accept just about all PhD or masters level immigrants and keep the rest out. Oh, except those who have several hundred thousand to invest; if you have money to directly start a business which will employ Americans then come on in.

I believe I said many moons ago that the problem isn't immigration but welfare. Eliminate welfare and the welfare tourism goes away.

On a related note what is a decent awd car like crossover vehicle preferably with a bit of ground clearance but not as high as a full on SUV?

In general, yes. This would be my work car and my employer is paying part of it. It would replace an old Isuzu 4x4. Most of my coworkers all bought full sized trucks but I am not a truck guy. I could go with an SUV but these days I am in management so I am more checking up on my minions and sitting in the office doing boring project management crap. Thus the idea of some sort of cross over with awd and decent ground clearance.
