. Nothing wrong with that per se. The thing is that women certainly have equal opportunity in education. They graduate at higher rates than men. Now argument is that they are being kept from earning degrees that will get them higher pay. The fact is that they don't choose to earn those degrees at the same rate that men do. Why is the question, and that's where some wild speculation comes into play. Personally I think they don't pursue those degrees simply because they don't want to.

As far as employment and such, there are a lot of issues to consider, but I'll briefly discuss two. First, pregnancy. One it's, not something which benefits your career, period. Whether employers admit it or not, they don't want a bunch of their employees getting pregnant on them. So there is some discrimination there imo. Second, men make career choices that get them more pay. Why? Partly because they are obligated to. You probably aren't interested, but if you want you could read The Myth of Male Power.

All of that being said, despite the opinion that women face some discrimination because of their biology, the pay gap is insignificant. So why constantly make a big deal about it and call political opponents neanderthals etc...

A lot of people really don't know the full story, because they haven't bothered to listen to people. There are men in jail right now because basically the exwives put them there. When they divorced they had a high income so they were forced to pay high alimony. But they lost their high paying job so their ex now has the choice of putting them in jail.

Hope Solo is a female professional soccer player who beat up here half sister and her 17 year old nephew. She is still playing soccer and gets cheered every time by the crowd, even though she beat up a woman and a child. That's significant because women routinely receive easier punishment in our society. They get shorter sentences etc...
