I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were making an attempt at saying something meaningful. You asked what would happen if I spat on a woman's face; I replied that I almost certainly wouldn't be knocked unconscious as a result (as opposed to, e.g., Rice's fiancee). You then replied that I wasn't chivalrous, which could only mean that the chivalrous course of action would be to get myself knocked unconscious after spitting on a woman. It's not a matter of what you should do. You would be forever shamed for spitting on a woman so you wouldn't have the courage to knock yourself out or let BK knock you out. Plus letting BK knock you out you would deny him his glory.

I personally don't think an accusation should be the sole determination. While chatting with my wife, her first comment was that she could see this leading to quasi blackmail. I had to agree.
Granted for the NFL, perception is so important that if there is so much evidence then an exception wouldn't bother me. But if it's a he said she said, then waiting until guilt is proven, or more evidence presented should be a requirement.

I don't think it's irrelevant, because before I watched the video everyone was saying he just walked in the elevator and knocked her out. Maybe a professional fighter can knock someone out with a slap but that's a professional.
