That's the problem Ben, you don't see any difference. And you're allowed to teach? Oh, that's right, not in a public school that requires certification.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

My nephews are currently 20 months and 3 months. I can safely say there is a massive difference between the two ages... let alone a toddler and a fetus.

Ben is a complete moron. BK, go to a mother's/parent's group and try to tell them your views. I don't know if they'd laugh at you or collectively punch you in the face.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Again, I don't see the difference between the two. Both are children. 38 weeks is very far along.

Actually I have. And most of the moms agree with me. They think that someone dumping their child in the trash at 38 weeks is barbaric.

You called the fetus a toddler. Dr. S. just illustrated several differences between both when you asked about them. I doubt any of those differences is illegal.

YES. I don't know if you're in the habit of thinking that every pro-lifer on earth is motivated entirely by seething, irrational misogyny, but the purpose of all the draconian laws you oppose is purely to smash abortion. Or, in some cases, to stop birth control, because some people have a moral problem with that as well. But even the WBC crowd do not, to my knowledge, preach that miscarriages constitute some sort of uterine manslaughter. Passing such a law would not be in keeping with this crowd's expressed values, in addition to being difficult to enforce and politically suicidal, even in Texas. Cops hauling off a grieving woman who just had a miscarriage in handcuffs? You seriously think that plays well with the family-values crowd?

Which is why I imagine they suspected, rightly or wrongly, that the miscarriage in the OP was induced.

You're the one arguing that dumping a 38 week old child in the trash should be a-ok.

Ah, so you can only haul off a grieving woman who just had a miscarriage if you suspect that she somehow induced that miscarriage. That obviously is a much, much more humanistic and kind way of dealing with traumatised women..

It's useless to speak with you, if you're only going to make things up.

C'mon, now. I don't know what evidence they had here, or thought they had anyway. The article in the OP doesn't even make clear what law was broken, it says "miscarriage" repeatedly then quotes somebody implying it was an abortion. If you disagree with prohibiting abortion, fine, but nobody wants to penalize inadvertent miscarriages. Implying that they do is absurd. The equivalent from our perspective would be an article on how Planned Parenthood is suing doctors who save the lives of preemies.

More importantly what's the difference between arguing with Ben and a toddler?

I believe the toddler generally leaves his crap in his pants.

Where in the article did it say that the fetus was 38 weeks gestational age? If the fetus was 38 weeks gestational age then it probably was stillborn. Induced terminations of fetuses that old generally have to be done surgically. AFAIK it's impossible to medically induce an abortion at that gestational age. If it was surgically aborted the police would have noted it immediately. Likewise if the infant was spontaneously delivered at that age and the mother killed it or left it in the trash to die a competent medical examiner can determine that as well.
