I got to say, I admire Ben for his consistency.
I don't agree with the way this kind of expells certain groups of people from their spiritual needs (unless they change, something that I don't think it's possible) but to be frank and upfront, don't blame Ben. Blame established religions. Maybe some christian religions recognize gay marriage etc but it is clear that orthodoxy/catholicism don't. For the time being (I really don't know anything about protestantism except what I've heard at school that you "talk directly to god" - great educational system. maybe it has changed now)

No. I get, "marriage is reserved for one man and one woman" from that. Which is the challenge that rah posed. Since I have provided a direct quote from Jesus Christ himself that states that marriage is between one man and one woman, I challenge rah to stand by his claim, and support Christ.

whether you agree or not, it is certainly possible to view god as man, and man as god. he might be seen as the highest of man's ideals; or the various aspects of god (holiness, power, presence etc.) can be seen as projections of human self-consciousness.

It's really not that difficult to grasp. Just think about it for two minutes.
