The solution is to have actual waypoints. I should be able to cluster groups and have them go where I want them to go. Like Paradox... What a useless and phony individual. Why is he running the show? What the **** is a "war simulation? Is he referring to playing the game? Is there that much of a shortage of honest and intelligent lead developers? The orbital layer may let players skirt around the one-military-unit-per-tile rule, but it doesn't solve a lingering problem this rule created in Civilization V and its expansions: the AI. While this rule did create some interesting new strategies for players, the game’s AI had trouble executing those same strategies with any consistency. As an example, I often saw the AI push its archers to the front line, ahead of their sword-wielding brothers in arms, only to get slaughtered. When asked about this, McDonough explained, "We've had the opportunity to do a great deal of work and learn from the successes that Civilization V had with its AI to make AI suited for [Beyond Earth]. We’re confident it’s going to do a great job. We’re working hard on it and the war simulations we’re running in our test games are already pretty crazy and fun."

I agree. I'd be cumsploding right now if he'd said, "Yeah, we're pretty sure the CivBE AI is going to be just as ****ty and we anticipate dozens of patches to fix this critical design flaw."Originally posted by Wiglaf View PostWhat a useless and phony individual. Not when there's attrition.Stacks of doom usually reign supreme in Paradox games.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

They did in EU2 where armies didn't reinforce themselves for free. In a game like EU3 you pretty much have to keep your forces together and try to wipe out enemy regiments so they won't get reinforcements.Originally posted by kentonio View PostUh what? Attrition stops stacks of doom being all powerful in Paradox games.
