Maybe it's because the distaste for assertiveness is restricted to mostly women who are. Men seem to be rewarded for it frequently and tend to be quite popular if they aren't *******s about it.

In my experience a leader has to enforce order. Some people understand that and others don't care. Some people don't care if you're a good leader or not.

So I understand why some people don't like to be leaders. Myself, I don't.

Good leaders often don't have to enforce much.

There's a lot of people out there that will use passive aggressive tactics to undermine your authority. They are very hard to deal with even for those with training. I don't know if little girls know about that, but the point is it's wrong to think everyone wants to be a leader. Many don't, and there is nothing wrong with them. It's simply a personal preference.

Also, as I've s said, I don't think we live in a world where girls are discouraged from being leaders. I do think boys are encouraged more, because it pays more, and men need more money. Until women need to be leaders to live the good life they won't be leaders (in large numbers). Women are going to continue to do what they like regardless of all this pressure for them to do otherwise. Banning words isn't going to have any effect. All this amounts to is a bunch of silliness about men wanting to control women by keeping them subservient.

you might have an agenda you’re pushing other than solving gender disparities.
The sad thing is that it's reinforcing poor leadership habits. It's almost as if those involved want people to tune out girls in the workplace. Nurse Rached isn't the model of female leadership.

No ****, Sherlock. Not everybody is naturally a leader, or wants to learn how. Duh!

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read on Poly.

Boy are encouraged more because it pays more? Well duh! Why don't we encourage girls in vocations that would pay more?

And in the age of the single mother household, how the **** do men need to earn more?

Child support? Pretty sure men are more likely to pay than women.

And go to jail if they don't. I don't think NYE has any idea how much income you have to have to live a decent life if you pay child support. If you're poor you're probably going to be living in your car or parents garage.
