Thwarted. One of the other students had apparently been accused of cheating, so he needed to talk with TA to sort things out. And I couldn't really wait that out. Goddammit. I did everything right. I should have at least been given the opportunity.

Logistics are difficult. She has office hours, but doesn't have a private office where I could really ask her out. And once the semester is over I have no idea what her schedule will be like. I could email her, but man that's awkward.

You were willing to chat her up in person, but an email saying 'Hey, what's up, I had some stuff I wanted to ask you about' is awkward?!

(You can even phrase it ambiguously enough so it could be some school-related issues)

I could do that, but she'd probably just tell me to come by during office hours, which still has the problem of lacking privacy.
