Sure. I've let a lot of people down as it relates specifically to my depression. It's all part of this nice shame spiral I've got going on.

Well, I take my Pills, i see my theraPist, I stay off drugs and limit my alcKohol, I don't hang out with druggies or gang-Bangers anymoar, I live in a safe neighBorhood (my 'set'), I am cKareful with my monatary sPending and have a good nest egg Built uP, I still have my games and musicK, and other sPiritual (not YHWH) and joB-related stuff that keePs me on the level.

Before I had ANY of those things mastered I used Poly and other internet forums to acKt as a 'theraPist' while still doing all sorts of negative Behavior. Needless to say it was a mistake that made me feel worse rather than Better.

As far a scKhizoPhrenicKs go I have Beat the odds and am cKonsidered a secKsess story so I really DO know what i'm talking aBout here.

You know, you can't let that stuff rule you. It is possible to shout those self-destructive impulses down. Not to make them go away, as far as I can tell, and it's certainly not easy, but you can rule them instead of the other way around.

That sounds solid. I've learned the hard way that thrills and excitement are not for me. I'd rather have a boring life than a miserable one. Way to go, man.

Saw my psychiatrist earlier today. She wants to put me on Wellbutrin, which iirc Elok thinks is the very devil.

I was on Wellbutrin for a short while. Hives and bronchial spasms were my side-effects. Those were pretty tame for Wellbutrin IIRC.

I must admit that the requirement of listing them in commercials is the only thing that makes drug commercials watchable.
Even funnier when the the side effects overlap what the drugs are supposed to be helping.
Or when the are so many side effects that the listing takes up most of the ad.

It looks like the dose she's starting me on (150 mg) is small enough that there is essentially no risk of seizures or some of the other extreme side effects. /me shrugs. We'll see.
