Everything you say here is based on Russian paranoia. The point everyone is trying to get across to you is that there is no longer a need for that paranoia. Obviously, the Russians still have it...otherwise they probably wouldn't be invading countries. The arguments you make are for how the Russians feel, but they do not address that the Russians SHOULD feel this way...and the answer why is simple. They shouldn't.

The problem is that Russian paranoia could easily turn into a self fulfilling prophecy. If they keep doing what they are doing, at some point the west will stop them. the cost of this will be tremendous and the blood will squarely be on poor Ivan's paranoid head.

Your arguements ignore clear cases of US and NATO aggression. They amount to you are annoyed that Russians think and feel the way they do. That's nice, but useless.

The EU and the US pushing their agendas in Ukraine, damn the consequences, are also actions. Actions the Russians regard as hostile, with some precedent.

Having trounced Russia on German territory (and assisted Austria-Hungary against Russia) Germany then unleashes Lenin on Russia, gobbling up large tracts of Russian territory in the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.

The Bolsheviks are attacked on Russian soil by American, British, Japanese, French and even Czech troops. Poison gas in used against them by the British.

The British Secret Service are busily plotting against the Bolsheviks and infiltrating their leadership and the Comintern. A British agent (Reilly) is revealed to have plotted a coup and an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Lenin.

And that's just the first three decades.
