Damn. I just looked at their roster. 43 year old Petr Nedved. He's been out of the NHL for 7 years now. His best year was in 95-95. He was on a line with Lemieux and Jagr and still couldn't get 100 points.

We sure do... more would be better, but 8 makes it interesting for tournaments.... otherwise it's the same for QFs etc.... I'm happy about KHL, good hockey, so more opportunities for other players to play top level, maybe it will give rise to some other countries in the long run when they get their players into pro leagues like that
Sweden won Finland today, 2-1. I'm disappointed but congratulations to Sweden, good game from Tre Kronor, they were the better team. Next up, US vs Canada, a real nail biter!In da butt.

For hockey purposes, it would be better if Czech and Slovaks fielded a combined team. Czech team being old was a bit their own fault. There were some younger players left off that would have made a better team. I think they got left off because they did not have name recognition and their selection committee were going by past performances instead of projecting into the future.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. I'd be content with the Olympics being only for amateur players. Bring back the World Cup (formerly Canada Cup) and play those games in the summer.
Also, why do Finland and Sweden have great hockey teams, but Norway doesn't?
