So, no, Texas isn't nice and in fact it is a ****ty 3rd world place lacking in the common things superior blue states already have.

Indeed. Texas Republicans should be ashamed because, yes, Obamacare does cover it or rather it would if the people running Texas were more interested in the health and welfare of the people of their state instead of in political grandstanding.

Must be a really good restaurant if selling it will rake in that much cash. The question is, how will he and his family make a living after he sells his livelihood?

And why is it even necessary for him to sell his restaurant when Obamacare already provided and paid for a way for poor people like this woman to have insurance provided to them? Oh, yeah, because Republicans wanted to play political games while good people died from easily treatable conditions.

The fact that she may have died without that surgery being paid for says a lot about our pathetic system. Not surprised the psychopaths think this is a good story.

Yes, which is why we hear stories of California business owners doing this. Oh, wait. No, we don't.

Maybe because it is completely unnecessary and the state now has practically universal health insurance coverage including free coverage (via medicaid) for people too poor to buy it on their own? Gee, which do you think is better for businesses and regular people in the long run? To have everyone universally covered so no one has to lose all or most of their Earthly possessions if they get sick or to be a ****hole like Texas where you have to hope some rich person takes pity on you or else you die? Third world craphole indeed.

Californians are generous with other people's money, not their own. You're happy raising taxes on other people to pay for benefits, rather than donating your own money through charity to help those in need.

The fact that you're angry about the generosity of this man, speaks volumes. Health care to you was never about making people well, but everything to do with controlling other people's money.

Gee, which do you think is better for businesses and regular people in the long run?
Given the cluster**** that is Obamacare? Short term, charity is better. Long term, charity is better. Obamacare has actually increased the number of total uninsured.

So to paraphrase Ben we have "Why aren't poor people like this waitress not having to beg for life saving health care in California?" Maybe because she'd already be COVERED in California and so wouldn't have to beg, you brain damaged idiot.

If she lived in California, she wouldn't have a job. That's why she lives in Texas.

Someone tell the 38 million people living in California that finding a job there is impossible.

And no matter what don't show him how California's GDP is 1/3rd larger than Texas's or that the median income is about 25% higher.

Well it does have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country.
