I graduated with honors with a BS in Political Science. I think that at least makes me equally qualified to discuss the subject.

So did I. I'm more interested in you reading the newspapers at the time than I am in you studying it. The Newspapers bit says quite a bit as to what the culture back then was like, and what the impression was like in Illinois at the time.

If you had said something that I thought was unusual, then I'd be very interested in what you studied. Most of what you've said is the usual boilerplate.

Yes, but I don't go as often as I should. I had a good run from October of last year to August of this year without a miss. I should try for a whole year which I've not done since I was a catechumen.

I respect that - especially since I didn't grow up with any of it. It's just me here, and I don't have any of that tradition to fall back on. For me my day to day life hasn't changed much except I don't spend all sunday in Church as I used to do, and I don't have the closeness that I had with my Mennonite friends here. So it's difficult to go and go to a parish where I don't know very many folks.

I tend to go to Sunday Worship just about every Sunday (if I'm out of town, I'll find a nearby ELCA Church). I think I've missed only missed it once in the last 3 years & that was because I was driving back from New Jersey this past Thanksgiving Weekend. I also find myself at church 3 other times during the month on various committees (Finance Ministry, Evangelism Ministry, and Church Council).

I've been a youth leader in my church since early 2006. Eight years this May. Since then, I have been at church more or less every single friday except during summer and Christmas. And three camps a year, mid autumn 3 days, new year 4 days, Easter 5 days. This new year I skipped camp for the first time since Easter 2004. So I'm in the lead Ben.
