I loved Civ 1. It was a groundbreaking game. So was Star Trek 1 as a movie. 2 invented the ideas of scenarios and a whole scripting language around building them. People still play 2 today. It was also the first civ game for me (can't remember if it was CtP 1 or 2) that really captured the idea of distant colonies to grab vital resources. CtP was criminally under-rated.Comment

CTP was cool but I always thought it was rather funny that planes could stay aloft for 3 turns which was ~3 years or something.
