Couldn't. The rookie scout used up his first move to get to the outside of the UFO, which triggered the Outsider. Ran the rookie back to full cover, blew the UFO wall with a grenade (which somehow didn't damage the Outsider), took a high percentage shot (which missed), and then popped smoke on the rookie. Outsider ran up to his full cover and blasted him anyway. RIP.

Outsiders have great aim; Thin Men have unbelievably great aim.

Thin men only really have good aim compared to low-ranking soldiers. They have the same aim as Mutons I believe.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Thin Men carry a weapon with a built-in accuracy bonus.

True. The light plasma rifle, carried by Thin Men (and Floaters and Mutons early in the game) has a +10 aim bonus. This can be seen when equipping your own soldiers with it.

Other enemy types eventually start carrying the regular plasma rifle, which packs considerably more punch, but lacks the bonus. Thin Men keep using the light version.

Finally in the midst of a meaty Classic Secondwave game - everything but Absolutely Critical, Diminishing Returns, Other Sources.

Keys to the game:

1. Starting in Asia - The bonus allows point 2
2. 3 Heavies on the first Terror Mission
3. Rotating Squad Members - 2 Assaults for terror missions with the crit enhancing skills, 2 assaults for capture with the defensive and quick reflexes skills
4. Selling everything except weapon fragments and half alloys and ship parts.

I've had 2 deaths one in March, one in April and since then a few close scares. I've got about 20 team members now and we're leading into september with light plasma finally coming online. Every country except for the 2 that left (India and Australia) and the two countries I've ignored, Canada and Mexico have Sats up.

Looks to be easily winnable at this point but it really depends on how my missions play out in regards to squad wipse

Not sure, but your infiltrator in EXALT missions will be armed with only a pistol.

Oh yeah. Getting a gunslinger guy with move and shoot in there will be key. I already take gunslinger anyway because of damage roulette.

I went from zero to diamond hard in like 2 seconds.

Oh my god a MEC trooper just dickpunched a sectoid off a dam.

Oh yeah. Getting a gunslinger guy with move and shoot in there will be key. I already take gunslinger anyway because of damage roulette.

I take gunslinger because it's the Correct Upgrade for snipers with squadsight.
