I love it when people act like the two parties are equally to blame for this (or any other) issue. Oh yeah! If only those mean Democrats would meet the Republicans halfway and compromise. "Compromise" to the Republicans is giving in to everything they want.
So yes... maybe Democrats are to blame... for not saying yes to the Republicans. To us, it is the BEAST.

It's an interesting tactic, shutting down the government to try and recoup past losses. But it failed. Move on already.
Or don't. More than 70% of people blame the Republicans. The Dems have nothing to lose.
It's the greatest failure in modern political history... aside from the Bush presidency. To us, it is the BEAST.

They have. Boehner didn't even want to tie Obamacare changes to the continuing resolution, and would likely settle for something (practically anything) else that would allow him to save face.To us, it is the BEAST.

The Republican threat to default, not because of any good reason but just because tea baggers and to throw a hissy fit would be a catastrophe lus the credit ratings agencies are saying it would cause another Republican credit down grade for the country simply because they're worried about Republicans threats to not pay America's bills. Why haven't these criminals been removed from office yet? I mean this is the second time the tea baggers have done this.

Fight Over Debt Ceiling Risks Credit Rating, Moody’s Warns
WASHINGTON — Moody’s Investors Service warned on Thursday that it might downgrade the nation’s sterling credit rating if Congress does not increase the nation’s debt limit “in coming weeks,” putting a spur to sputtering talks between party leaders and the White House to reach agreement on a long-term deficit-reduction plan.
Moody’s unexpected report follows by six weeks a decision by another major ratings firm, Standard & Poor’s, to lower its outlook for the Aaa rating on United States debt – but not the rating itself -- to negative from stable.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
