  • I presume Ben is as vociferous in his protests against the death penalty (which he has stated he is against) in Texas which presumably his state taxes go to fund, thus breaking his, in his view, constitutional right to religious freedom.

Yet when you are 'forced' to pay for an Afghani child to have her arms and legs blown off in an airstrike, you seem to have remarkably few religious based qualms. Why is that exactly?

            • I'm sorry, you're going to have to construct a logical argument as to why you're special and nobody else is in regards to religious supremacy of Catholics in flouting taxes cause "they disagree with it on ideological grounds".
The first amendment to the constitution protects free exercise of religion. One of the tenets of Catholicism is that contraception is contrary to the Catholic faith. Obamacare forces everyone to participate in purchasing health care, that among which includes coverage for contraception.

Ergo - Obamacare forcing catholics to buy contraception is contrary to the constitutional protections of Catholics via the first amendment.

                • Also, its hilarious that you think I have contempt for the first amendment based on me dismissing your catholic exceptionalism
Unfortunately, for you the Constitution protects all religions not just Catholicism. In a sensible, free world, people would be able to purchase health care a la carte - only the services that they want or need, when they want or need it. It would not be mandatory.

The tax argument doesn't really hold up here as the mandate is a direct payment on the part of the organizations complaining about it. If we want to make a direct analogy here, the equivalent would be if Ben were required to directly for the chemicals used during the execution.

                    • The constitution according to Ben isnt really the constitution according to anyone else, so you best just drop this line of thought before you really embarrass yourself again.
Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas agrees with me. So this terrible argument is crushed. Can't you really come up with a better argument?

Given the proportion of abortions vs the proportions of executions, and given the fact, that an abortion kills a person just as frequently and sometimes more people than an execution?

And no one except religious nut cases believes this to be so because your interpretation conflates everything. Your religion would need to explicitly forbid paying taxes to secular governments that engage in sin. And yet we even have an example in your own ****ing religion of Jesus making the distinction that its not a sin to pay taxes to a secular government that engages in sin.

Clarence Thomas is the worst supreme court justice in my lifetime. No one denies that Clarence Thomas is the worst supreme court justice of their lifetime.

That Clarence Thomas agrees with you should make you mad at yourself for having a stupid opinion or thought process.
