  • Never Forget

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Funny I had to recount what happended that day to my 13 yr old and 8 yr old. I naturally expected them to know what happened, but continue to forget how much has receeded from the public knowledge. My 13 yr old was 16 months old at the time, I remember rushing over to the day care to get her early that day.

Still remember seeing the planes crashing and the towers collapsing on the television. Gave me nightmares. I think I was just barely old enough to register what was going on--3rd grade at the time. People one or two years younger than me don't remember.

The day when 19 brave men sacrificed their lives to change the course of history. By committing a terrible atrocity and thus being directly and indirectly responsible for thousands of deaths.

                  Happy Terror Day

I'm glad we still haven't learned from this event.

But hey, let's wave some flags.

I remember thinking it was the end of the world. I know it's terrible, but I've never felt so alive as I did on that day.

Thanks Slowwy. I was in my dorm then. I remember going down early for breakfast and being told there was a plane crash into WTC. I remember disbelieving it. You've got to be kidding. So I decided to skip early morning class and go up to the tv room. Got there just in time to see the second plane hit WTC. That's when we all knew it was terrorism. So ended up spending the day up there and watching everything unfold.

Classes were shut down for the day.

I don't think that was the most productive day in classrooms or workplaces.
