Guess I'm back on the ol' ignore list. Whatever. I guess I deserve it for committing the cardinal sin of disagreeing with nonsense.
It amazes me how otherwise smart, intelligent people can completely tune out logic when religion is involved.

So long as people here debate with and quote Ben, I will quote whoever I damn well please.

Most history is speculation, but it is reasoned speculation.
Most of it isn't actually speculation. It depends on how you define speculation. The problem isn't the speculation, the problem is the sources. We oftentimes don't have enough sources to have corroboration work it's magic. You need at least three (two sources agree, one does not), which lets you fix errors in any one account. With just two or one, we are limited in error correction, and by Aristotle's principle, the sources we actually have trump speculation as to what actually happened.
That doesn't stop people from disagreeing. An argument, no matter how logical, can still have its detractors. The U.S. has an entire political party that based on arguments that are unreasonable and unrealistic, yet they get ton of air time.
I have no issue with Aslan selling, marketing his book and making a ton of money and living the American dream. In the fiction section.
