Maybe Texas? Have you ever been? I hear it's amazing.

Do NOT visit Iowa; that's my home state, and we don't need your kind visiting.
Do NOT visit California; I live in this state now, so stay far from me.

Some suggestions on where else to visit:

      Somalia
      Syria
      Russia
      Democratic Republic of the Congo
      North Korea
      Sudan
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Come to think of it, you're the only one that has ever qualified as "don't want to meet".
        GO figure.
        we? WE?

IIRC, someone didn't show to the one I went to!

          Geesh. It was a joke.

That, of course, assumes that I even had the time, or passed through anywhere close to Chicago. Not the case. Unless you were willing to come to Effingham at 3am. Went through I-70.

Come to think of it, you're the only one that has ever qualified as "don't want to meet".
Well, feeling's not mutual. If you swing by Austin, feel free. I'll meet with anyone, including Sava.

Really? I'm told that the state actually wants to attract Trekkies.

No intention to visit CA again. Been through it twice. NorCal (aside from San Fran, where I've never been), I liked. You can keep LA, especially down town. Heck, even New York City keeps itself cleaner. So there you go. You want to live in a Ben-proof state - CA is the place to be.

Why would you pick, say...Tennessee and not just go to Arkansas, which you probably will go through anyway? I would start as local as possible and radiate outwards.
I'm not saying that's the correct way to do it, it's just the way that I would do it.

Just the way it's worked out.

Well, so far all my trips have been 'natural' trips, ie, I haven't gone out of my way.

I've done one trip up the coast, several up and down the Rockies. Now I've done one through the south and up the East coast, and another along the Ohio pretty much following the Ohio all the way to the Mississippi and back.

It could be done, everything including Florida, and about as long as my previous trips, with a four point trip from Austin to Pensacola, Pensacola to Detroit, Detroit to Fargo and then Fargo via Little Rock back home.

That would leave me just three shy of 50 - Vermont, Nevada and Alaska.

Hawaii is farther away from Virginia than Alaska, you stupid Jew.

Hawaii to Virginia = 4,700 miles
Alaska to Virginia = 3,400 miles
