We had this exact same discussion about two years ago. Nothing more than historical revisionism because people abhor the idea that their ancestors fought for an evil cause.

I don't think my ancestors of the time had slaves either. Maybe a little bit ... but mostly they were probably still hiding out in Canada after failing to support a dictator ... or out west raping/killing Natives and marrying as many underage girls as they could.
