You do know that there is lots of oil in Northern Colorado, right? More likely they will be filling the coffers of high spending/low accountability "giant metro area" fat cats.

According to the list of states who receive the most federal dollars per money spent (which your lazy ass can google fo yoself), per capita North Dakota receives $2+ for every dollar paid in taxes.

So, let Texas secede and see if that is true.

Well it is easy to go back to the 6 year study that you are most likely citing. The picture changes as the oil boom heats up. Most current info I could find was 2010 and it shows $1.07 received for $1.00 taxed. I would imagine that it has improved even since then, but in the absence of a source I defer to your all encompassing, but out dated wisdom.

BTW...ND has the lowest unemployment rate in the country...3.2%.

Texas receives $0.91 for every dollar taxed.
Illinois receives $0.92 for every dollar taxed.

                    Neither are takers.

True in an awful lot of cases.

                      Based on Senator party:

Blue States get $1.24 for every dollar taxed
Mixed States receive $1.12 for every dollar taxed
Red States receive $1.49 for every dollar taxed.

The small population states are the takers. Especially the red (Republicans are red because they're socialists) ones.

It's doing so well, that it's human population density has grown from immigration, to be higher than the population density of its cattle.

*shrug* I understand that parts of California have also wanted to secede from the rest of California for decades now, yet it's never happened. So, with that in mind, what's happening in Colorado isn't all that newsworthy at this point in time, at least not on a national scale.
