      slippery slope, really?!

      There is no reason for the procedure to be legal. Past viability, most people agree that the unborn is a human (including myself). It's pure murder at that point since the child can live outside the body.

        Stick to being a bad lawyer... and not a bad OBGYN.

        IDX is used because alternative procedures involve dismembering the fetus in utero.

        So yeah... it's absolutely necessary. And literally thousands of women's lives have been saved as a result.

                          Imran, when have I advocated not including an exception for the life of the mother? Ectopic pregnancies are an unfortunate reality that results in a case that the mother's life is truly in danger if her pregnancy were to proceed. At present there is nothing that can be done to save the life of the child.

                                Agree. And we have already decided when a person is a person. At birth.

                                (and some obscure situations where a pregnant woman who intends to bring a baby to term is hurt or killed along with the unborn child)
