      • By the way, this part of it seems to be far more important than the stand your ground part...

It's concealed. It has no bearing on how Trayvon may have seen things when this started.
Was that in reply to me? What does it have to do with anything?

Was that the part where the medical examiner said..

"The injuries are so minor, and to me, slamming implies great force."

..or was it when he testified that..

"the cuts on Zimmerman's head are consistent with "one impact" and that the injuries were not life-threatening"

            Just curious.

            • The life threatening part comes from the fact that Trayvon was choking him and reached for his gun.

Ah so we have some medical or other evidence to support the choking claim then?

                • Do you have evidence to the contrary? The prosecutors didn't.

                  • So we have to prove that the reason he gave for killing Martin didn't happen? If you're going to kill someone, shouldn't the onus be on you to prove you had good reason?

You're the one who added "with a gun in his pocket", so evidently you thought it had something to do with something.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

He killed someone. If you shoot your wife, can you just say 'She was choking me and I feared for my life' and just walk away scot free?

No. And that's not just from me, that's according to 49 of the 50 states of the Union, including such cavalier pro-gun, pro-self defense states as New York, California, Hawaii, Illinois, and New Jersey.

If there isn't enough evidence to demonstrate it wasn't self defense, yes.

What does what Trayvon knew have to do with my statement? I was describing the situation from a third party perspective using information we have, not information either of them had. If you'd like you can mentally edit out the part you fixated on, the point would stand without it.

Don't be ridiculous, you can't just shoot someone and then the prosecution have to prove you didn't have a good reason.

If that's true then your country is a ****ing joke.
