Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Exactly. My experience with touch screens in cars is that things that used to be immediately available with a single button (temperature, a/c, etc) can be buried behind screens. Maintaining the state of the screen while driving is annoying.
I prefer the direct buttons for main functionality. Advanced stuff is fine on the system.
To be clear, the car has the screen-based controls too. It's just optional. As it should be. Give me direct access in a predictable place while I'm driving a car.

Curious to see how the Lexus handles the Cold up there. The Last Toyota I drove had the Bad habit where the electric Window opener couldn't handle a frozen Window.
Japan. The only Lexus built outside of Japan is the RX, which is built in Ontario (where the Rav4s are built).
All of the Toyotas my family have owned in Canada had no issues with the cold.
All Lexus vehicles in Canada also come with some extras, like a built-in block heater and ceramic (space) heater which provide heat before the engine is warmed up.
Hell, the 2011 Rav4 we have starts up on the first try in -35C weather without even using a block heater.

I really can't think of something that I would be doing with the touchscreen doing 60+ on a curvy road. Still got voice control for backup and like Asher said, other controls for temp, etc.
Most new car have button controls on the wheel, mine even has a menu button that cycles through the displays in the speedo, tach area.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.
I'd much rather have buttons than a touchscreen. When it's really cold, I wear gloves so my hands don't stick to the steering wheel. Plus I like to be able to push the buttons without taking my eyes off the road. A touchscreen might actually be a deal breaker for me.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

I don't wear gloves, because I do not have a vagina. YMMV, plus I live in Dallas, seriously, I see people wearing shorts year round. Shorts and a jacket when it gets cold.

It was 15 degrees today in Pittsburgh. Come up here and drive without gloves and we'll see the size of your gaping mangina. But even in Virginia it gets cold enough to want gloves every so often. Touchscreens

Dude, I'm from Wyoming. I walked two miles to my friends house when it was -45F because very few cars would even start. As I recall the wind was really blowing such that the Windchill was near -70F. That being said, I did have gloves on.
I can tell you that after about -20 if you don't have gloves, you will get frostbite.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
Not necessarily a good thing when you're doing 60 on a twisty road.
Who uses their car for driving? What are you, some kinda luddite.
