"I think that the traditional interpretation of Jonah/Genesis/Noah/etc is wrong because of textual/etc reasons" and "I think that the traditional interpretation of Jonah/Genesis/Noah/etc is wrong because I don't think that God could do such things".

No, you're not a conservative, even for a Brit. You can't hide behind the "oh we're all lefties on this side of the pond!" thing when you have beliefs that would put you pretty far on the left of the Democratic Party. The US really isn't that far right of the UK. It's just not. Let me put it this way. You also wouldn't be a conservative in Canada.

I am a relatively left wing Brit. I'd definitely consider Kentonio a conservative. I'd probably define him as center right. Definitely in the spectrum of beliefs of people who vote for the Conservative party.

And the US really IS very much to the far left of the US. It really is.
