I've dealt with some pretty obtuse people who supposedly have degrees as well, but in my experience and meeting my daughter's friends, boyfriend, etc., I have yet to actually encounter anyone who has, or was in the process of obtaining, a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited institution who demonstrates your, shall we say, severely limited, faculties? That is across the full range of the political spectrum. You come across here as a high C average high school graduate, or maybe a "graduate" of an unaccredited "Christian" college where mindless adherence to doctrine without any intellectual rigor is considered good form.

I said their total benefits often exceed mine. Yes, this is true - because the benefits are too generous, not because I get insufficient pay to meet my needs. Isn't that the whole conservative argument that welfare benefits are far too generous?

Neither is true. I graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia which is an accredited university in Canada with a BA in history. Credit wise - Major in History, minor in Physics. I graduated with a sufficiently high average to obtain the Governor General's award in my HS which is awarded to the student with the highest average (ie, valedictorian), in a class of 400.

A BRONZE medal is awarded to the student who achieves the highest average upon graduation from a secondary school.
