I thought you were raised Catholic. I guess you weren't raised Catholic well. We prefer to use 'adoration' instead of 'worship', because it's closer to latreia instead of dulia which is devoted to the Saints.

Depends on who's telling the story. Other cultures venerate the dead, and just as well call it ancestor worship, because it's no prohibited by their religion.
