He accused my fiancée of trolling when she commented that she doubted his claims of being a history buff when he demonstrated fundamental academic failures in a thread (she is an art historian). This, after she went to the British Library for him to get a source document.

Liar. Yes, I accused her of trolling. After I realized it wasn't just some DL out of the blue, I apologized to your fiancee and asked if she would be willing to look something up for me from the British Library. I offered to compensate her for her time and inconvenience, for which you requested that I instead donate said compensation to a gay rights organization.

Your fiancee was kind enough to obtain the information that I sought. I thanked her, then and now for what she did, as it was quite helpful in the direction of my further research. I then donated said compensation offered to GALA North which is a gay rights organization.

My offer remains to thank the both of you for your assistance, along with others that have helped within my book.

I do still do data entry, although not for the school that I work for at present. I have some samples of my work if you are interested. I also have copies of my lesson plans.

To be fair, I've heard that confusion/obfuscation/whatever it is from other Americans. I've heard more than a few people (and seen it on resumes, ) misuse the word and assume it's synonymous with graduation. A couple of times it was engineers (whose credentials were verified) who were an interesting combination of bombastic and quasiliterate. Apparently they thought they were clever misusing a fancy word they thought nobody would know.

Hey, I screwed up and made an embarrassing mistake. It happens. (Repeating what I posted in that other thread over a year ago).

Latin is not a strong suit for me. I have to work on it, and I have plenty of work left to do to get to where I want to be. I would like to be able to attend a Latin mass, (which I have not done yet, I go to Novus Ordo masses), and be able to read and say all the responses without error. I am terrible with the grammar. I would love to go and learn it correctly at some point, but for now I rely on people who do know this well to help me.
