Why did God create Adam and Eve with sexual reproductive organs if they were not to have sex?

How did Noah come to have electron microscopes and petri-dishes with which to save microbial life from the Great Flood? Why did he forget to save the dinosaurs?

Why did God allow the Romans to slaughter so many innocent babies the night after Jesus and his parents fled for safety? He sent an angel to warn Mary, but he could have sent angels to all the other mothers too.

[Answered from the point of view of a modern day Catholic who's sane, what I might have been once upon a time had the Church not gone too far right.]

I don't think Adam and Eve were not intended to have sex. In any event, they could've been added on when they left Eden.

Moses had nothing to do with the flood, that's Noah. Microbial life was saved via the intestines, skins, hairs, etc. of the various saved animals [and plants?]. Also, most of it probably didn't die in the flood- bacteria enjoy water environments, after all.

God generally allows people to be people - he doesn't directly intervene. He allows us the free will to choose to do the right thing, but also to do the wrong thing; otherwise there wouldn't be any point in salvation.

      Who is this thread for?
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Presumably it's to make MrFun feel better about himself?

I was asking a Bible question in the thread about 3-D printing of stem cells. I gathered no one was answering because it was off-topic, so I created a thread to ask such questions here.

So God is a sadistic, callous bastard who won't intervene to save babies from slaughter?

Also yeah - I had a brain fart - transposing the name Moses with Noah.

And as for Adam and Eve - why did they have to cover their private parts in the Garden of Eden if they didn't have the sexual reproductive organs until after God kicked them out?

Also, I always thought the Great Flood would have happened with salt water. A lot of microbial life would not have survived, for the ones that live in fresh water.

It was good that no one answered, because they don't know. Why would you insist that someone answer?

I said that I did not think they weren't intended to have sex. In any event, the pictures with fig leafs are pictures, drawn by humans, who don't know ****. Only the bible is considered 'scripture' by those who care.

If the Flood occurred via rain, as the Bible states, then it was fresh water. The oceans would've been salt water, and probably sufficiently salty to keep their organisms alive; but overall it would've been fresh water [if it occurred as the Bible said].

Why do you want a God that is going to intervene so readily? It's not sadistic to let your kids go off and make their own mistakes; it's good parenting. Same here, just on a way bigger scale.

Really, MrFun, if you're going to troll people, get your **** straight first, and do enough research to have decent questions. You don't know enough about religion to troll effectively, or ask interesting questions. There are truly interesting questions, and truly interesting trolls, to be had, if you know what you're talking about; someone like Imran, were he to suddenly become an atheist, could do this quite well. You, sir, cannot.

I guess so. I mean we have no fundamentalists who post on this site (Kid comes the closest).

The answer is that they were always created to have sex.

How did Noah come to have electron microscopes and petri-dishes with which to save microbial life from the Great Flood? Why did he forget to save the dinosaurs?
Why didn't Noah take sea creatures into the Ark?

You know, you could ask about Passover. That's a better question. The answer - that God sent the Romans to judge Israel, and to have dominion over Israel. This was a part of Daniel's prophecy. You can find parallels with Passover, where the Jews were spared, and at Sodom, where Lot was saved.

May I add to this? MrFun, constructive criticism, but you don't always thinking through your arguments when making them. At times you will respond to something I put on Facebook and support my side, but will do so in such a thoughtless way that it appears that our side isn't all that thoughtful about the matter. I admit, I cringe at times.

What I'm trying to say is that you need to put more thought in your statements. One can ask all sorts of interesting Biblical questions in a non-hamfisted way. The problem of why God allows evil has been discussed for centuries (Theodicy) and has a far more nuanced discussion that your responses to your final question of the OP.

"Go forth and multiply", Mr Fun, you idiot. The rest of the questions are just as stupid.

I just like making fun of people who take the Bible literally - such as BK, or Kid.
