No. We just throw it on the rest of the pile as minor defects.

      Anyone validate this?

They're quoting 8 for Great Britain. I suspect they're using the figure of 8 for handgun deaths in just England and Wales alone in 2011. So they've looked up figures, but been sloppy with them.

The Mk. 19 with its tripod weighs almost as much as I do and in order to rack it, you have to brace yourself against the tripod with your feet and use both hands. It's like using one of those rowing machines. That thing is a BIG GUN!

        Back on topic though
You just jerked off over guns in a thread about 18 small children being murdered? What the **** is wrong with you?

If you trust the FBI, those 10.000 may be a little low.

Don't be an idiot. I know many gun owners. Virtually none of them feel the "need" to own a gun, for them, it's simply a hobby to go hunting or target shooting. It has nothing to do with a desire for violence or the bravado associated with having a firearm. It's just about simply enjoying a sport. Of the ones I know that feel the need to own a gun, most are women who think they need it to protect themselves from things like rape.

You're right. It just happens far, far, far more frequently in the US than anywhere else on the planet.

It's quite amazing how many of these sportsmen who say it's 'just a hobby' suddenly became so vociferous in defense of guns any time new regulation is suggested.

Then I guess they won't have a problem with leaving their gun at the shooting range / hunting club?

Remember- this is someone who thought the United States didn't use enough bombs in South East Asia. Or waste enough lives. Apparently he has yet to experience armed combat, and joined the R.O.T.C. because it has gym privileges and will thus help him alleviate ? overcome ? his physical shortcomings.

                              This explains much, I find.

Yes, the urban environment in the U.S. would be greatly enhanced- tired of the bank queue ? a victim of road rage ? feeling postal ? You need a Mk. 19 grenade launcher. For those neighbourhood disputes where calm, reason and commonsense just don't work.
