So the CEO thinks it will be better to just destroy the whole company rather than agree with the workers on the problem? That doesn't make sense.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostHow wise is of the union to call the bluff of a company in this position?A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

MrFun, the CEO is a guy picked by two hedge funds. They're perfectly happy to trash the company if they can't get it running profitably fairly quickly.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Basically. They'll likely sell off the name / factories to another food maker.Originally posted by gribbler View PostDoesn't this just mean someone else will buy the rights to make twinkies? They weren't offering products which the market wanted and they weren't innovating either which is why sales have been declining for decades. I know the usual suspects were blaming the workers for not wanting lose their benefits but the reality is if management was worth a **** it wouldn't have gone bankrupt twice already plus the company has so much debt nothing could have saved it. If it matters, I expect the best assets to be bought up and still be in production.Originally posted by The Mad Monk View Post...aaaaand they're dead.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
