You retarded old hypocrite. You live in a country that in 1493 was populated by indigenous peoples exterminated by the thieving imperialist Englishmen whose *******s you reflexively rim.

        • Maybe, but that's a completely different discussion. Argentina is roughly equivalent to the United States, a New World immigrant nation that achieved political independence from its imperialist forebears in Europe while regrettably not shedding some of their racist and genocidal impulses. Argentina is no worse morally than the US is, and any American who believes the UK somehow had the right to steal the Falklands from Argentina in 1833 is almost certainly a ****ing hypocrite who would never defend Spain if they had sailed over and stolen the Florida Keys from the US in the same year.

          • And the Spanish actually would've had a stronger claim to the Keys than the UK had to the Falklands in 1833, because the Spanish actually controlled Florida for nearly three centuries while the British never controlled the Falklands until they stole them from Argentina.

If a few thousand Spanish citizens lived there and voted to be a part of Spain, then yeah, I would...though it's moot because we would have pwned them already in the Spanish-American War and taken them back...

              • Unfortunately for Argentina, the British Empire didn't go down the ****ter nearly as rapidly as the Spanish Empire did. Argentina only really started having a chance to kick out the colonialists in the mid-20th Century, and their own developmental ****ups have largely wasted that opportunity. It still wouldn't be that hard to kick the British out if the Argies could only get their **** together, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

                  • It's the principle of the matter. A 19th-century American would've totally understood and sympathized, but the rise of an American empire in the 20th century ****ed up our national values beyond all recognition, which is how you end up with *******s like MtG defending the last sad remnants of a British empire whose dissolution our own country began.

And they sold their claim to us. And you can beat the dead goat all you want before going back under your bridge to munch on it, but the British claim in 1690 conformed with international law as it stood at the time. And **** 1833 anyway, the Argies released all claims in 1850, so they mooted whatever argument they had.

It has offshore natural gas and oil. The oil isn't that exciting, the potential gas field is.

They want the oil found offshore especially since the worthless drama whore running their country has destroyed it's economy like a drunken teen with his daddy's Jaguar.

You might be able to relate.

Funny that, because the English, while they were here, didn't manage to exterminate a whole lot of Indians. That was a uniquely American venture, driven by all sorts of white immigrants, from all sorts of places, including whatever mutt lands your ancestors spawned from.
