Argentina is roughly equivalent to the United States, a New World immigrant nation that achieved political independence from its imperialist forebears in Europe while regrettably not shedding some of their racist and genocidal impulses. Argentina is no worse morally than the US is, and any American who believes the UK somehow had the right to steal the Falklands from Argentina in 1833 is almost certainly a ****ing hypocrite who would never defend Spain if they had sailed over and stolen the Florida Keys from the US in the same year.

And the Spanish actually would've had a stronger claim to the Keys than the UK had to the Falklands in 1833, because the Spanish actually controlled Florida for nearly three centuries while the British never controlled the Falklands until they stole them from Argentina.

Unfortunately for Argentina, the British Empire didn't go down the ****ter nearly as rapidly as the Spanish Empire did. Argentina only really started having a chance to kick out the colonialists in the mid-20th Century, and their own developmental ****ups have largely wasted that opportunity. It still wouldn't be that hard to kick the British out if the Argies could only get their **** together, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

And **** 1833 anyway, the Argies released all claims in 1850, so they mooted whatever argument they had.
