Calling me a bigot for the shame of disagreeing with him.
If he wasn't interested in imposing his view that everyone should approve of homosexuality why call people bigots?

Calling you a bigot is not exactly imposing that belief on everyone. Almost everyone here already has that belief.
Now if he was saying that you should enjoy having sex with another man, then I would see your point.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

One of you holds views that force other people to live like second class citizens.
So those who remain unmarried are 'second class citizens'?
Marriage isn't an individual right. I have no right to demand that someone marry me.
One of you doesn't. I'll let you work out which is which.
As I said, you'll impose your own belief on society, and happily so. Because your cause is just and right.
See, the issue isn't, "you are forcing your beliefs on me", but rather 'which beliefs ought society have', and the sooner we get to that debate, the sooner we can make some progress..

Why call someone a bigot, unless you believed that they OUGHT to have the same opinion as you?

This isn't a particularly hard concept to grasp. There's a difference between 'I chose not to leave the house' and 'I'm not allowed by law to leave the house'. Grasp that distinction and you may just become a better human being.
Nobody cares if you personally approve or disapprove of homosexuality.
Oh? Then why was Boissoin charged for expressing his opinion on this issue, in the same province where NYE resides? Why call me a lying sack of ****, a bigot etc if you didn't care.
Clearly you do care, and care a great deal that I choose to express an opinion that you find repulsive.
You hope that if enough of you and your mates speak out against me you can hammer down the nail sticking up. Good luck with that.

As long as you do nothing else but express that opinion all people can/should do is call you out on your bigotery. The problem is that ****s like you are all to willing to impose your opion on other people. See the difference ? See ?
Why call someone a bigot, unless you believed that they OUGHT to have the same opinion as you?
This makes no sense at all. I, for instance, believe that people should be allowed to express their sexuality as they see fit and, at the same time, believe that fundamentalists should be allowed to disdain the practice.
The problem lies in the imposition of wills. Many religions require public testimony and/or propagation of faith as a core activity. These organizations have de facto embraced the opposition and hostility they encounter. Complaining about it is disingenuous.

It's impossible to argue with ignorant bigots. We should pity him. NAW, easier to just laugh at them.

So if I choose, as a gay person, not to get married to a woman, that's the same as choosing not to leave the house? There's no 'gayness' test for marriage.

Would you like to pass a law making it illegal for a gay man to marry a straight woman?

Ok, but in calling them bigots, it means that you believe that they SHOULD believe the same thing you do. You believe they sould be permitted to disdain the practice, but you also believe them to be wrong in their opposition.
These organizations have de facto embraced the opposition and hostility they encounter. Complaining about it is disingenuous.
I'm not complaining about it. I'm just making a very specific point. The issue is not 'forcing your will on the people', but 'what beliefs ought society have'.
Don't like gay sex? Don't do it.
This isn't about sodomy, this is about marriage, and society has a say in marriage. Marriage is, by definition, a 'public act', else why have laws against bigamy/polygamy, etc. Marriages must be recorded in order to be considered to be marriage.
Don't like others having gay sex? None of your business. Really.
I'm fine with that - If people choose to be in this type of relationship, that is what 'freedom of association' is all about.
